Information Technology Services (ITS) provides computing and communications infrastructure, services, support, and innovation for SMU's instructional, research, public service, and administrative programs. ITS works closely with many other departments and organizations through our department to provide a wide range of services for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and others.


■Networks, electronic mail and web authentication, which can only be provided on a University-wide basis;

■Centrally managed services such as Desktop Services, which provides computing resources to individual members of the University;

■Centrally managed services such as the DNS service,managed web server, managed mail

domain services, which are aimed at institutions rather than individuals;

■A wide range of support services for institutional and individually owned facilities, including genuine software such as windows and anti-virus software and the Hardware Support service;

■Ancillary support services such as videoconferencing;
